Phase 2 of the King Charles III England Coast Path, covering Lincolnshire and East Anglia, features a highly diverse array of path types that cater to different mobilities and preferences.
Walkers will find highly accessible, stile-free stretches that include level, paved promenades and easy-trekking paths around towns like Mablethorpe, Skegness, and various Victorian seaside resorts.
The natural terrain offers a striking contrast, taking walkers across long, remote sandy beaches, wild shifting sand dunes, and distinct shingle spits.
Additionally, the route incorporates more challenging environments, such as soft, uneven, and potentially muddy estuarine saltmarshes around the Humber and The Wash, as well as paths along the firm, fossil-rich chalk and striking carrstone cliffs near Hunstanton.
