Together with Barnaby we explore the complete 2700 mile path around the coast of England.

King Charles III England Coast Path.
Angelika and I enjoy walking around our home county of Wilshire and are avid parkrunners.
When King Charles officially opened the England Coast Path in March 2026, we became enthusiastic about exploring as much of the coast as we can. Where could we go? We sent Barnaby out to explore the full coast path and report back his findings. Now we have an almanac we can explore. We invite you to explore at your own pace.
We decided to divide the route into 6 phases, each phase covers about 450 miles of the path.
Within each phase are 50 mile segments. Each segment has been explored by Barnaby to illustrate places of interest and to give you ideas for days out which incorporate walking on the path and exploring towns in the area.
Each segment is illustrated by slides showing details of the area, each illustration is numbered.
We then created e-books (pdfs) for each phase. On the pages you will see an identification, this allows us to locate specific slides.
The logic is
P is the phase number (1 through 6)
S is the segment number (these vary according to the phase)
Z is the image number within the segment. (We thought using I for the images might confuse.)
Hence P1 S4 Z05 . signifies Phase 1 Segment 4 Image 5, you can use this number to discuss a particular slide with friends and to note down the places you want to visit.
On this site, you will see the 6 phases listed and illustrated, there is a YouTube video which shows all the images and below that an image which when clicked will download the pdf to your device. The pdfs are yours to read and share.
Enjoy exploring the England Coast Path with Barnaby
